The Missouri Symphony League

The Missouri Symphony League is a longstanding Missouri Symphony (MOSY) institution, founded by Lucy Vianello and Jean Smith in 1971.

A community of music lovers who creatively support the growth of musical arts and performance in mid-Missouri

Interested in joining the League? We’d love to have you! Membership is only $20, annually.

  • ABOUT THE LEAGUE

The Missouri Symphony League (MSL) is open to all supporters of the Missouri Symphony. The League serves as an auxiliary to MOSY to promote music for the benefit of the mid-Missouri community and music education for children.

  • MEETINGS

Lunch meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month, August – May, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1600 W. Rollins Rd, beginning at 11am. During these meetings, members get updates on all the activity happening with our various committees and projects. Music entertainment is sometimes provided during the meal.

  • FUNDRAISING

The Holiday Home Tour (since 1984), our new fall cocktail party event, and the “Bids in Bloom” Spring Online Auction are the League’s annual fundraisers.

  • VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The League provides volunteer opportunities during MOSY concerts (ushering, etc.), the Holiday Home Tour (docents), and assisting at hospitality receptions.

The Missouri Symphony League Provides Assistance and Support for:

  • The Lucy Vianello Musician Chair

  • The Piano Student Showcase, featuring aspiring young pianists who compete for an opportunity to perform in a concert on the Missouri Theatre stage

  • Scholarships for young musicians with the MOSY Conservatory

  • Performances such as the annual summer Firefly Music Festival and chamber concerts
