Since 1984, The Missouri Symphony League has coordinated The Holiday Home Tour to bring holiday cheer to you and raise funds for The Missouri Symphony. Join us and visit four beautiful homes decked out for the season.

The Missouri Symphony Conservatory- 2024 Fall Concert

All concerts at the Missouri Theatre have three tiers of reserved seating.
Tier 1 Seating: $39, Tier 2 Seating: $35, Tier 3 Seating: $29 | College Students: $10 | Children 17 and Under: Free
Processing & Facility Fees: The fees associated with ticket sales are a fixed $4 per ticket facility fee due to the University of Missouri for use of the Missouri Theatre, a $1 per ticket fee to our ticket sales platform, and a variable 3.2% credit card processing fee.
The box office opens one hour prior to the concert start time. Tickets can be purchased at the door until 20 minutes prior to the performance.

Tell Our Story: A Black History Month Concert
This annual concert celebrates and honors the lived black experience in our community and beyond. Featuring a panel discussion and an intimate chamber concert, this concert will allow you to learn more about Columbia’s past and leave you ready to invest in its future.

The Music of Studio Ghibli
This new spring pops concert will close our regular season and feature the works of Joe Hisaishi. Hisaishi is recognized as one of the greatest composers of his time. With genius filmmakers such as Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahashi from Studio Ghibli, the Japanese composer has explored all music genres to demonstrate the magnificence of his orchestral sensitivity. This concert will be a wonderful exploration of this genius of Japanese music, allowing the audience to experience the great pieces from the Studio Ghibli films.

Raise a glass as we celebrate the Missouri Symphony and reveal our selections for this season’s Holiday Home Tour! The inaugural “Sips for the Symphony” cocktail party, presented by Boone Health, will be held Sunday, October 13, 2-5pm at the Country Club of Missouri on Forum Blvd. Join us for some fall fun as we feature tasting flights, great food and music, a S’mores station, a wine pull, a purse auction, and MORE! “The Elixir of Love”: Donizetti
The Missouri Symphony, in collaboration with Landlocked Opera, presents Donizetti’s beloved opera, “The Elixir of Love” (L’elisir d’amore). Featuring singers from around the country and under the baton of music director Wilbur Lin, this production will leave a lasting impression.

Firefly Music Festival: Nicholas Canellakis Plays Elgar
Nicholas Canellakis has become one of the most sought-after and innovative cellists of his generation, praised as a superb young soloist.
The final concert of the 2024 Firefly Music Festival will send us off with a program dedicated to composer Edward Elgar. The MSO will present his Cello Concerto, featuring Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society’s cellist Nicholas Canellakis, and close the summer with Elgar’s Enigma Variations.

MOSY in Moberly
The performance will include patriotic selections as well as selections from popular movies such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, and 1941. This will be the culmination of the City of Moberly 4th of July activities.

This concert will explore music influenced by Finland and our state of Missouri. Some highlights include Coleridge-Taylor’s Hiawatha Overture and Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, featuring David Oistrakh First Prize winner violinist SooBeen Lee.

Firefly Music Festival: First & Final: 200 Years of Joy
The opening concert of our annual Firefly Music Festival celebrates the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. The Missouri Symphony Orchestra will kick off the concert with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1. After intermission, they will be joined by the Columbia Choral and four of the most exciting young solo voices from across the country to present the 9th Symphony, which was first performed just over 200 years from this date. With its well-known final movement, commonly known as “Ode to Joy,” the audience will leave excited for what is to come the rest of the festival.
